Roberto Mosella
My name is Roberto Mosella, although everyone now knows me as ROVIRO’. I was born in Naples and studied classical humanities before earning a degree in Law and becoming a qualified lawyer, a title I’ve never used. Right after graduating, I threw myself body and soul into the worlds of fashion and art, taking part in various national and international events in both fields.
Since I was a child, I’ve spent my free time drawing and writing. I used to write a lot, and I still do, and I was always drawing. In that sense, I haven’t changed much as I’ve grown. Curiously, people told me that even as a little boy I drew in perspective, even though I had no idea what a vanishing point was.
Growing up in a city like Naples, overflowing with art, gave me a natural advantage.
Being surrounded by beauty on a daily basis taught me to value it deeply, to seek it everywhere or, in its absence, to create it.
For example, during school I used to have gym class in a hall with a frescoed ceiling.
These experiences undoubtedly shaped my style, which, although contemporary and minimal, is firmly rooted in a classical sensibility.
Little Man
One of my favorite symbols, and probably one of Tumulto’s most iconic figures, is the "Little Man". Some people say he even looks a bit like me. Who knows, maybe I subconsciously created him as a kind of self-portrait.
His meaning? The importance of the individual, their unique skills, and personal identity. In an increasingly technological world, we must not forget that everything still begins with us, with our emotions, our creativity, and the talents we should nurture and invest in.
That’s why every Tumulto drawing is born from my deeply human imagination, a mix of my Neapolitan roots and life experiences.
This blend is what makes an artist the authentic and original source of their own work.
Each design is hand-drawn directly onto Tumulto garments, turning every piece into a unique and prestigious work of art.
It’s a union of artistic creativity and craftsmanship, made with environmentally respectful fabrics, and expertly sewn by hand.
